21 Day Fix Extreme Turkey Meatballs




Nonstick cooking spray
1 1/2 pounds raw 93% lean ground turkey breast
1 tsp sea salt or himalayan salt
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 large egg, lightly beaten
3/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
12 parsley sprigs, finely chopped
2 tbsp tomato sauce, no sugar added.

1.  Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Lightly coat large baking sheet with spray; set aside.
3. Combine turkey, salt, mustard, paprika, egg, oats, garlic, parsley, and tomato sauce in a large bowl; mix well by hand.
4. Roll mixture into 30 1-inch meatballs. Place on prepared baking sheet.
5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until no longer pink in the middle!


**TIP: Meatballs freeze very well! **

21 Day Fix Extreme Turkey Chili

Turkey Chili

1 tsp olive oil
1 1/2 lbs raw 93% lean ground turkey
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium, green bell pepper, chopped
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tbsp chili powder
1/2 tsp sea salt or himalayan salt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
2 (15 oz ) cans black beans ( or pinto beans )
1 (15 oz) can all natural diced tomatoes, no sugar added
12 cilantro sprigs, finely chopped ( for garnish; optional)

1. Heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat.
2. Add turkey, onion, bell pepper, and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally for 5-8 minutes or until meat is no longer pink.
3. Add cumin, chili powder, salt, and cayenne pepper; cook, stirring constantly, for one minute.
4. Add beans and tomatoes ( with liquid). Bring to boil, Reduce heat to low; gently boil, stirring occasionally, for 15-20 minutes , or until thickened.
5. Serve warm, sprinkle with cilantro. 


TIPS: store in individual containers and freeze for future meals!

21 Day Fix Extreme Chicken Fajitas

Day 1 of the 21 day fix extreme is going great! LOVED the workout, and already 3 meals in for the day! Excited for dinner tonight!! These chicken fajitas look simple and yummy!




1 tsp Chili Powder
1/2 tsp Sea Salt or Himalayan Salt
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp olive oil, divided use
4 (5 to 6 oz) raw chicken breasts, boneless, skinless, cut into 1/2 inch strips
1 medium red or green pepper cut into thin strips
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
8 large romaine lettuce leaves
1 cup fresh salsa
lime wedge ( for garnish; optional)


1. Combine chili powder, salt, cumin, garlic powder, and 1 tsp. oil in large resealable plastic bag.
2. Add chicken, bell pepper, and onion; mix gently to coat.
3. Heat remaining 1 tsp oil in large nonstick skillet over medium- high heat.
4. Empty contents of bag into skillet; cook, stirring frequently.
5. Remove from heat. Add lime juice.
6. Evenly top lettuce leaves with chicken mixture, and salsa.
7. Garnish with lime wedge if desired! 


Container equivalents: 2 fajitas = 2 green. 1/2 purple. 1 red. 1/2 blue (if you use avocado)

Tonight we are mixing this with my favorite brown rice recipe! ( see stir fry)

21 DAY FIX EXTREME PREP & MEAL PLAN!

FINALLY! The moment I have been waiting for, 21 day fix EXTREME! I literally could not wait to get my hands on this program so I ordered it first thing Feb 2nd knowing that I couldn't start it until Feb 16th! But, it's here, i'm prepared, and I am so excited to share my journey with you all!

As always there are steps to take when starting a new program:

1. I am reading the eating plan from top to bottom! I am understanding the container system and determining how it's going to fit into not only my life, but my husbands.

2. Next I am creating my actual meal plan. This is something I like to do weekly since I do my grocery shopping weekly. I grocery shop weekly to ensure my items stay fresh! I buy only what I need based on my meal plan, which also ends up being a huge savings for our family. Prepping is just as good for your wallet as it is for your body :)

3. After my meal plan is completed, my grocery list is set, and I am off to the store to get what I need for the entire week! I am usually right around $100 dollars a week. Granted that is for me and my husband, 5-6 meals a day each. Approx $1.30 a meal, can't beat it! I never understand how people say eating healthy is expensive! 

4. When I get home from the grocery store, I am immediately prepping for my week. My meal plan is super simple and consists of the same few items for breakfast, lunch, and snacks so the easier I can make that on me, the better! Breakfast is prepped because I'm starving when I wake and by the time my pup gets her morning walk and I get a work out in, I am ready to eat! Having breakfast already prepared makes it super simple for my schedule. 

5. Prep is over! Super simple, did I mention Sunday dinners are EASY because my few hours in the kitchen consist of prepping. I'll usually go for a crockpot meal or something requiring not much effort so dinner is cooking while I am prepping. 

6. Pictures and measurements are taken. Regardless of what your goals are, this is the best way to see your results in my opinion. Always a win win. Best way to see progress!

7. SCHEDULING my workouts. Yep, I said it. I have a set time in written in my planner for my workouts every day. These are set as a business meeting, that I cannot miss. Planning is key, remember that. Find what works and stick to it. For me, it's AM workouts. I am way to lazy in the evenings, so getting up 30 minutes earlier is totally worth it to me!

8. I am familiar with equipment I need, and have been working out at home for one year now. So I'm set there. Always check and make sure you are prepared equipment wise. 

That's about it!!

Attached, as promised, is a copy of what my meal plan looks like this week! Nothing elaborate. We are super easy over here. I'm just excited to completely dial in so I can see the best results possible!

One year as a coach!





One year ago ... 
I embarked on a journey that would change my life forever! I started in a place so far away from who I was, but mostly upset with how I let myself get there. You might think I am just talking about the weight, but that was just a side affect of the toll I allowed LIFE to take on me.

I played the blame game. I only saw life through the tunnel vision I had created for me. It wasn't fair, I was stressed, my health was depleting, was it just a stage? I knew I could recognize these changes, but for some reason I was accepting them. I wasn't challenging myself to be better or to do better. I was blending in and letting people treat me with disrespect. Allowing myself to feel zero purpose, and starting to not see hope for the future. Feeling judged that I wasn't successful or even in a position to be at 23, being seen as just a military wife, which I am incredibly proud of, but that is not WHO I am, only a part of who I am, a big part, as are many other things.

Becoming a Beachbody coach has, to date, been THE most rewarding thing I have ever done. I started this journey for the sole purpose of weight loss, never imagining along the way for this opportunity to completely transform my life. My excuses were no longer excuses, I was surrounded by a world of positivity, do you know how powerful that is? I was realizing how much I NEEDED to work on me, and I picked up one my favorite habits, READING! I know, it's crazy but reading is a huge part of my life! I face one fear every single day, today, is this post

 I have completely shifted my mindset from " that's impossible" to " why not me?". I have become so strong in my head that it is an automatic switch if negativity or doubt or criticism approaches me. Do I get sad? YES. Am I perfect? HELL NO. Do I have flaws? MORE THAN I CAN COUNT. Do I fail? EVERY SINGLE DAY. But does that define me anymore? NOT A CHANCE!!

I am a completely different person today than I was one year ago and do you want to know how? It all started with a choice. It all started with physical appearance. It started with completing a workout program to prove to myself that YES I CAN. It started with allowing myself to be human and accepting my mistakes. Forgiving myself every single day. ENJOYING my journey instead of stressing about how far I had to go or what number was on the scale. This process has given me so much more confidence than I have ever had in my entire life. Letting the REAL me shine, not being scared of what people think of me, sharing my journey so I can help other people use fitness as an outlet, too!!

I GET TO HELP PEOPLE FEEL THIS WAY TOO!! Beachbody is so much more than fitness. It is restoring your life, your happiness, your purpose. Fitness is the outlet to get there. We ALL need that. We ALL need health! We all need to experience something we thought we could never do, and do it. I have been able to help over 200 people, 2 of which I failed, and it still cuts me through my heart every single day. BUT, it doesn't define me. YOU have to be ready for the help, and i've realized that. I understand now, because i've been there too, and I would never judge a single person.

So I don't do this often, if ever, but today I am celebrating ME! By doing that I am doing the things that I find most joy in! I am plugging into my challenge groups, I am helping my coaches, I am working out, I am reading, I am NOT taking an exam ( even though I only have 2 left until I am done with school!) hehe! , I am LIVING, and I am enjoying every minute of this beautiful life.

LIFE is what we make it, and I don't come from the perfect one in the slightest nor does that matter. So that excuse won't fly with me. You can be whatever you want to be, you just have to make the commitment to want to be that , and DO IT. Don't ever give up on it. Who cares what people think! Look at me!

Los Angeles!!!!

Here I am! Off to my 2nd Beachbody event ever! The first being Summit 2014! I become a coach in Feb 2014 and was told just make it to this event and you will understand WHY it's so important. So I did! I had NO money to be spending on a plane ticket to Vegas, but I made it a point to get there because I just had this gut feeling in my chest that I would regret it. So I dropped everything and went, and everyone was right. It was exactly what I needed to propel my business forward! 

So that's me on the right, Jan 29,2015, snapping my gitty school girl picture on the plane heading to LOS ANGELES for a trip that myself and only 112 others qualified for! This was a 2 star diamond leadership conference, and my team and I busted butt to get here. I can't even begin to really explain the feelings I felt in the moment, knowing all our teams hard work was starting to pay off, but it was a super awesome feeling! One that I will definitely cherish forever. 

I didn't know what to expect attending this event, honestly. I had never been to anything THIS exclusive. I knew I would get to learn some great take aways and hoping to interact with corporate a little bit, but overall I was just happy to be going and representing Misfit Legion!

Upon arrival I checked in to my own room paid for by Beachbody, freshened up and headed down to the lobby to find the crazy people I had been in a mass group message with! PRETTY ENTERTAINING! Yes, I didn't know ANYONE other than two girls from my team who were not arriving until that night. That's just another reason why I LOVE beachbody. Everyone is so nice and we all immediately just CONNECT and it's like we've known each other for years. So I met my bb family in the lobby and we walked across to a cute little lunch spot and spent a nice hour or more getting to know each other.

After that was check in. I got to meet my mentor in person for the FIRST time and she gave me this awesome 21 day fix EXTREME gear that I would be wearing in the LIVE workout with creator of the 21 day fix EXTREME, Autumn Calabrease. 

PRETTY AWESOME! We still had a an hour or so before the opening session, so I hung out in the lobby with some new ladies I had met on the way back from lunch and sipped on a $20 dollar cosmo! yeah, my mouth dropped too! ;) but it's not everyday you get to be in LA! So hey, why not!?

Session one was about to start. Having NO idea what to expect, I walked into the room and realized the farthest away I could be away from the stage was 3 rows. That's how exclusive it was! Totally cool. So I took a seat and much to my surprise were more goodies! I felt so special in that moment, it was really amazing! We sat down with book bags, notebooks, pens, name plates, etc all waiting for us! We heard from our corporate team and got amazing tips and takeaways that I will not go into because if you are not a beachbody coach, would seem totally confusing and boring. But I will say this, it was awesome. Our company is truly one of a kind. The whole conference was dedicated to making US better people. It had nothing to do with THEM, and everything to do with US. What our core purpose was as coaches, how to stay true to ourselves, how to be a positive example, and how to work on us every single day. It's so easy in this business to get caught up in by the shiny things like rank and finances, and they really just helped us focus on wiping that slate clean, it didn't matter. 

To add to that, we heard from superstar diamond coach, Traci Morrow, who left us with one of my favorite quotes regarding this topic. 

"Success and titles are something you did yesterday and a trophy you have to dust off tomorrow." 

Continue to be YOU. Through this entire process work on you, and never stop. Be the best person that you can be. Great leaders ask great questions ... of themselves. 

Do I have blind spots?
Do I have the right inner circle?
Am I a master of myself so that I can be a servant of many?
Is my marriage/ family a priority? 
Am I the same in real life as I am on social media?
Do setbacks inspire me, or derail me ?
Am I willing to apologize?
Am I an example for others to follow? 

Our biggest goal should be to become bigger on the inside than the outside. 


Yeah, have I mentioned how much I adore this company? Amazing. 

The first meeting came to a close and we had about an hour before dinner! We went up and got dressed in our "California Chic" attire and went down to the party! It was this beautiful indoor/outdoor setting with fireplaces, and great food, and mingling! I finally caught up with my girlies who had a big delay in travel due to snow in the Boston area, but they made it! So we sat down and immediately got some food because these ladies hadn't caught a break all day. 

It wasn't but 10 minutes into our conversation, before some really nice man choose to join us. Yep, that's CEO Carl Daikeler of a billion dollar company and he's hanging out with us like it's no big thing! Truly love his heart and passion and that conversation was incredibly inspiring. Totally grateful for that experience and to share it with my girls!

We continued mingling throughout the evening with other corporate team members, beachbody coaches, and more. It was an amazing day!!!!!


Day 2 was here before we knew it. We opened the morning with an amazing breakfast provided by Beachbody, the morning session which included incredible incredible take aways from the number 1 coach in the company, Melanie Mitro, and Superstar Diamond coach, Trina Gray! I have pages and pages of notes from different take aways I got from each of them, it was an amazing opportunity. At the wrap of our first session it was lunch time. So we grabbed our lunches and loaded up into groups of about 30. Each group had their own charter bus and we headed over to corporate to tour Beachbody headquarters, workout with Celeb Trainer, Autumn, and have an exclusive Q&A with the corporate team. WOW! J

First we went on a tour which was just really awesome. There are gym spaces and multiple shakeology kitchens for the employees who have unlimited access! Each employee even has a break during the day to get a workout in!! Mason says he is going to work there one day :D

After the tour, we had the workout, and then cooled off with some shakeO and sat down with corporate for some Q&A. It was so amazing that they care so much to let us ask questions and shoot ideas at them for future. I can honestly say i've never felt more appreciated in any job, EVER!

After the headquarters we were able to go back and have a little time to shower and get ready for the evening. We had a closing session followed by game night and dinner with the coaches and corporate. I sat next to Jeff Hill, the executive vice president of global sales, and he was so awesome!! His story is so inspiring, and this man has such a way with words. I truly respect him and it was great getting to know him a little more in a different setting. Great person, amazing father, husband, and overall representation for this company.

I can go on and on and on about this experience and the impact just those 48 hours had on my life. I came back with a whole new mindset and I am so grateful for that guidance. To all the coaches out there, if 2 star isn't a goal , it should be. Every single one of you can achieve this and get to this event.

21 DAY FIX & 21 DAY FIX EXTREME!

HEY! If i've ever been so excited for a new program to release, THIS IS IT!! Hands down, the original 21 day fix and shakeology TRULY changed the course of my health and fitness for LIFE. It's funny saying "the original" now that the EXTREME has been released, but I feel both will complement each other so well and really give you the BEST of both worlds. 

Starting out, if you ask me, THE 21 DAY FIX PROGRAM IS FOR EVERYONE. You can modify every move, go at your own pace, workouts are only 30 minutes/day and the nutrition plan given is just going to simplify eating like you've never seen before. It really is so much about eating, and a lot of people really don't understand that. I know I didn't! Dealing with many customers begging for help because they have tried everything and the first question I ask them is what are their eating habits like. Most say "great!" and it really is, they are eating veggies/rice/chicken for dinners, salads, staying away from fried foods, etc. But there is always one problem and I see it so much. THEY ARE NOT EATING ENOUGH. People are skipping breakfast, eating once or twice a day because they don't have time, or think that starving themselves is the key to success. This could not be more incorrect, which is just another perk of the 21 day fix AND the 21 day fix extreme! It teaches you HOW TO EAT! This is not some typical diet where you count calories and weigh food, or limit your carbs because CARBS ARE BAD!<-- haha. that's funny!! But what's crazy is I used to LIVE this way. My body was so deprived and it showed through everything. It didn't matter how many hours a day I would workout, results were never consistent.. until the 21 day fix. 

I know I say this in the picture, but these containers really DID change my life. All proper sizes for each food group. Each color representing what I need in my diet to be successful. The great thing is that based off a small calculation determines the number of EACH color container you get in a day. YES, you get WAY more than 1 of each container a day. It is so much food, and when you realize how much you SHOULD have been eating all this time, it's an immediate wake up call, and all of a sudden, it just clicks. Healthy eating takes on a whole new meaning, happiness arrives because you have ENERGY from fueling your body with a balanced diet. There is NO guessing, everything is right here. YOU are feeling amazing because it doesn't take long for your body to thank you aka results! On average my clients lose between 3-4 pounds in the first week eating more than they ever have and incorporating 30 minutes of exercise. The POWER of this is so fulfilling. To see people eating what they love in moderation, smiles reappear, a weight lifted off their shoulders because they have finally found something so doable.
